WE'RE TALKING CHOCOLATE!

Dark chocolate that is. Milk chocolate is for sissies. Although, I have to admit, I’ve enjoyed my share of Hershey bars. I used to eat them with a soft, salted pretzel, which could be bought from sidewalk vendors on the streets of my hometowns of Philadelphia and New York City. Occasionally I still indulge in that teenage double-treat, but by my-mid twenties, I had discovered my true weakness: dark chocolate. Dark chocolate has been around for centuries, but it hasn’t been readily available on the market until the last several decades.

Today dark chocolate is recognized not only for its delicious flavor, but also for its health benefits -- both of which have contributed to its growing popularity and made it readily available in forms ranging from inexpensive, mass-produced bars to marvelous artisan delicacies.
